Urban Infrastructure Requalification Index: the central viaduct in Brasília

Abstract Memories and pride of the past related to cultural places, often provided by urban infrastructure itself, are resources for development regional identity, which can be recreated, interpreted re-functionalized suit current future generations. This work uses an retrofit intervention model in central area Brasília, represented Galeria dos Estados viaduct, capital's main arterial road. The methodology adopted classification according Urban Infrastructure Requalification Index (IRU) considers a multi-criteria based on three parameters: structural, environmental spatial. data point feasibility implementing these parameters assessment existing infrastructure, connectors contemporary cities.
